The T8A Gladiator is the UEE Navy's premiere carrier-based torpedo-plane and space-to-ground dive bomber. Rugged to a fault, the Gladiator is the most capable and extremely modular bomber chassis ever designed.

The Gladiator is a torpedo bomber manufactured by Anvil Aerospace. The ship was the crowdfunding stretch goal for $2,500,000, and was released to backers on December 18, 2014.

Usage[]

Gladiator squadrons are typically divided up depending on their specialization: a carrier may have both a Gladiator torpedo squadron and a Gladiator dive bomber squadron. The ship's back seat is occupied by a tail gunner, who also acts as radio operator.

Though a heavy-hitting bomber, the Gladiator has proven easy to modify and thus has become quite popular among civilians who are looking for a little bit of extra protection as they explore the universe. Civilian owners can elect to replace the bomb bay with extra cargo space.

Many pilots also choose to replace the rear turret's laser cannon with a tractor beam, making it an ideal craft for light salvage missions.

In combat, Gladiators have proven to be particularly successful when paired with Hornet escort fighters.
