Self-propelled weapons include both missiles and countermeasures.
The same general class of self-propelled weapon will be produced by a variety of companies. The developers intend to design these so that players will be loyal to a specific brand. A more specific brand name missile may deal a little more damage as opposed to cheaper store brands. Discount missiles may even be available that have a higher chance of failure.
